Description

Hydraulic decoking systems are specialized equipment used in the petroleum refining industry to remove coke deposits that accumulate on the internal surfaces of heavy oil and residue hydrocarbon processing equipment, particularly within delayed coking units. Delayed coking is a process used to convert heavy residual oils into lighter hydrocarbon products such as gasoline, diesel, and petroleum coke. Coke is a solid carbonaceous material that forms when heavy hydrocarbons are thermally cracked in high-temperature and high-pressure conditions. Over time, coke deposits can build up on the walls and tubes of the coking drums and other processing equipment, reducing efficiency and capacity.
