Global Antidotes Revenue Is Nearly 7600 Million USD In 2018

The use of Antidotes is since the early history of medicine. Antidote is agent that counters the effects of poison or over dosage by another drug. It helps in neutralizing the dangerous effects of a poison in body and has scientific approaches that have been taken to assess the therapeutic value of antidotes. The classification of antidotes includes chemical antidotes, physical antidotes, pharmacological antidotes and the proportion of chemical antidotes in 2018 is about 46%, and following is pharmacological antidotes with share about 30%

Antidotes are widely used for pesticide poisoning, heavy metal poisoning, animal bites poisoning, cyanide poisoning, etc. The most proportion of antidotes used to treat pesticide poisoning, and the revenue in 2018 is 2093 Million USD. 

North America is the largest consumption place, with a consumption market share nearly 33% in 2018. Following North America, Europe is the second largest consumption place with the consumption market share of 25.81%. 

Market competition is intense. Roche, Pfizer, Bayer, Johnson & Johnson, Novartis, Eli Lilly, Teva, Boehringer Ingelheim are the leaders of the industry, and they command prominent positions in the global market owing to their strong geographic presence, excellent distribution networks, and the financial power to acquire niche device developers across the globe.
